I hinted at my love of the MiniDisc before. I haven’t actively used it in almost 20 years, but there’s something about it that still tickles my brain—maybe it’s the combination of digital and mechanical that does it, I don’t know. I still have a pile of recordings and a sweet MZ-M100 that hopefully still works. But it’s surprising—although maybe it shouldn’t be—that there’s still an active MiniDisc community out there, and that the web is not all bad.
