I haven’t used Gmail in years, I still have personal Google accounts that I don’t log into, and I have no Google apps installed on my phone—yup, not even the one everyone is convinced is so much better than the other one that comes preinstalled (I’d rather drive into a ditch). But all of that is pointless when everyone around me is using Google products. (Newsflash: your freedom to not pay for the shit you use has consequences on others. And free is a lie anyway.)
So, for the betterment of the world—or at least to limit the speed at which everything spirals into shit—here’s how to disable Gemini on all those products. What it can access on Android phones is particularly upsetting.
