Wiley Hodges “worked at Apple for a total of over 22 years as a manager and executive in Product Marketing”:
I sent this to Apple CEO Tim Cook today. I’ve tried to remain calm and measured in terms of language, but if I’m honest, Apple’s action in removing ICEBlock from the App Store has left me angry. We are in a very dark place right now in our country, and we need leaders who act with courage based on principle.
I’ve been feeling the increasing distance between Apple and its customers, and I don’t think it’s just a function of how large the company is these days. I’m not sure it’s still a place where writing to the CEO will sometimes get you an answer, but I hope that an email from someone (and hopefully multiple someones) who used to work there, particularly in an executive position, will have some effect.
