I’ve been intrigued by the idea of rain gardens since I saw a few built in Imola a few months ago, as part of the renovation of the boulevard that goes from the train station to the center of town. I wish I’d planned our garden more intentionally following this concept—and I wish we could replace the awful strip of asphalt we share with the neighbor, which is the exact opposite of a rain garden. But that would be a massive project.
